ATX University is an online learning management system that incorporates video, audio, text, and interactive lessons to teach tax preparation and the use of ATX software. Many courses offer CPE. To view course titles and descriptions without obligation, visit training.atxinc.com and click View and Purchase Courses.

ATX University eases the burden of training new staff. Students work independently through each lesson and take a quiz at the end to confirm what they have learned. Students can also retake or review lessons at any time.

Because students work at their own pace, ATX University is great for refreshing the skills of your permanent employees before tax season.

Features for administrators:
  • Add, change, or deactivate students and reset passwords
  • Purchase and assign required classes to students.
  • View online reports of student activity
  • Review the list of lessons students have taken and which quizzes they have passed

CTEC-Approved Courses

ATX University now offers online courses to meet the educational requirements for California tax preparers.

These web-based self-study courses provide the full 60 hours required by the state of California to become a registered preparer. They're also convenient as refresher courses for all preparers, regardless of location. These courses are approved by the California Tax Education Council (CTEC).

The series consists of two parts: The 2009 Individual Income Tax Preparation and Preparer Responsibility course (45 hours) and the California Individual Income Tax course (15 hours).

To see the list of courses and to purchase online, go to http://training.atxinc.com and click View and Purchase Courses. In the list of libraries, look for "California Tax Education Council 60-Hour Qualifying Education." You can view the list of courses and course descriptions with no obligation to purchase until you're ready.
